유난히 뜨거웠던 여름이 엊그제 같은데, 어느덧 아침 바람이 서늘한  가을의 문턱에 접어들었습니다. 

이 계절이 아름다운 건 아마도 그 안에 결실의 기쁨이 있기 때문이겠지요. 저는 매년 이 시기가 되면 창작에 매진하는 작곡가들과 음악인들의 열정과 노력이 결실을 맺는 범음악제가 있기에 들뜬 마음을 가라앉힐 수가 없습니다.  

올해 46회를 맞이하는 범음악제는 유구한 역사와 전통을 자랑하는 국내 최대의 음악축제답게 신선하면서도 수준 높은 무대가 준비되어 있습니다. 올해는 다양한 연령층의 청중이 다양한 편성의 창작음악을 즐길 수 있도록 음악제를 기획하였습니다. 매해 독특한 악기 편성으로 새로운 음악을 시도해왔듯이, 올해 무대 역시 독일의 유소년 현대음악 앙상블 튀링엔을 비롯하여 3대의 피아노를 활용하여 작곡된 작품들을 선보이는 공연과 함께 수준 높은 연주를 보여주는 Trio Con Spirito와 화음쳄버오케스트라의 무대를 준비하였습니다.

예술에 대한 진지함과 치열함으로 최고의 무대를 만들고자 하는 참여 작곡가와 연주자들, 그리고 그들의 노력이 더욱 빛을 발하도록 지원하는 운영위원회의 수고가 있기에 저는 이번 범음악제에 대한 기대가 매우 큽니다. 더불어 이번 제46회 음악제에 작품을 출품해주신 작곡가들과 작품을 연주하는 연주자 여러분들께 축하와 감사의 말씀을 드리며, 범음악제에 참여하는 모든 예술가들과 청중들이 예술의 가치를 공유하고 즐기며 소통하는 시간이 되길 바랍니다.

Summer that was exceptionally hot seemed to be like the day before, but the morning breeze came to the threshold of the cool autumn.

Maybe this season is beautiful because there is a joy of fruit in it. I can not calm down at this time of year every year because there is Pan Music Festival that makes musician having the fruits of efforts of composers who are striving for creative works.

The 46th Pan Music Festival, featuring a fresh and high-quality stage as one of the nation's largest music festivals boasting a long history and tradition. This year, we did organize a music festival to allow listeners to enjoy the various pieces of creative music. As we have tried new music every year with unique musical formation, this year's stage will also include German youth contemporary music ensemble THÜRINGEN, the performance of three piano, and Trio Con Spirito and Hwaeum Chamber Orchestra, which show high-quality performances.

I am very excited about the music festival because of the efforts of the participating composers and performers who want to make the best stage with seriousness and fierce of art, and the steering committee to support their efforts to shine more.

I would also like to congratulate and thank all composers who presented their works at the 46th Music Festival and performers who played them, and to thank all the artists and audiences participating in the Festival for sharing. Welcome and please enjoy the 46th Pan Music Festival.
